About Chris and Serena

Chris Blok is a part-Dutch, part-Zambian sales enthusiast (well he actually works in sales), currently living just outside of Amsterdam on his dilapidated farm. He is interested in sports of all kinds (but has gotten a bit chubby and lazy himself). His love for gadgets and technology has taken precedence in his life at the moment.  Chris loves good food, and used to do two different types of sports a day in his childhood in Zambia but stopped such activity a long time ago. Therefore he is chubby because of practically no exercise and his insane love for food. As a result he has started frequenting the gym again in the hopes of attracting or carrying out his other interests, namely, acting, women, fast cars, travel and history.

Serena Shirazi is a part-Ethiopian, part-Iranian Intercultural Studies graduate volunteering presently in the south Indian state of Kerala. Having grown up in Thailand, South Africa and Zambia, Serena constantly finds herself troubled with issues regarding her identity and ethnicity. She however hopes that her multitude of interests will eventually lead her to something bigger and grander in life. She loves travelling, learning new languages, painting, mixing solvents and creating a mess (was a very keen chemist in school), driving cars, and in general, just lazing around.
